
23 September 2022PTPP Focuses on Completing the Semarang Demak Toll Road Construction Project
PT PP (Persero) Tbk, one of the largest and leading construction and investment companies in Indonesia (“PTPP”) will complete the Semarang Demak Toll Road Package 2 project by the end of 2022. The Semarang Demak Toll Road Package 2 project is one of the National Strategic Projects (“PSN”) that was launched and is currently receiving special attention by the Government. This is because the presence of the Semarang-Demak Toll Road is expected to complete the connectivity of the toll road network and the main sections on the north side of Java Island. In addition, its presence which is integrated with the Semarang City Sea Wall is expected to further support the growth of a new economic center in Central Java Province.
The toll road project under the auspices of the BUJT PT PP Semarang-Demak (“PPD”) is located in Semarang City and Demak Regency in Central Java Province. PPSD is a subsidiary of PTPP which is engaged in the development and management of toll roads. Apart from being an investor, PTPP also acts as a contractor in the construction of the toll road. The Semarang-Demak Toll Road Package 2 has a track length of 16.31 kilometers which starts from Sayung STA 10+394 to STA 26+704.
As of the third week of September 2022, the progress of the toll road construction has reached 94.69%. The scope of work includes: 9,492 km of Slab on Pile work, 6,144 km of embankment work, and 0.679 km of bridge structure work. The Semarang-Demak Toll Road Package 2 construction project is targeted to be completed by the end of 2022. The construction of this toll road project strictly implements QHSE performance where so far there have been zero project accidents (zero fatality).
